Behind-the-Wheel Driver Training

Freedom Driving School provides behind-the-wheel driving instruction for teens.

Teens

We provide teens with the state required six hours of behind-the-wheel driving instruction and issue a Certificate of Completion of Behind-the-Wheel Driver Training. Completion of the six hours professional instruction is required by the DMV for teens under the age of 18 years who want a drivers license.*  Please review the chart on our Prices Page for the cost of teen driver education.

Freedom Driving School divides the six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction into three, two hour lessons. We will schedule your student’s first lesson after they obtain a learner’s permit. The second and third lessons will be spread out over the course of six months, to allow adequate time for your student to practice skills with you. The DMV will not allow students to take a road test for their license until six months plus one day from the date they pass the written learner’s permit examination.

*Students under the age of 18 years must also log 50 hours of practice with a California licensed driver over the age of 25. At least 10 of those practice hours must be done at night.
